(Patria) - Rain and wind in Montenegro caused damage to the Budva Sports and Recreation Center and catering facilities, and a waterspout carried everything away.
The executive director of this center, Ivana Liješević, said that the adverse weather conditions left their mark on the facility, but that the pool is still operational.
"Due to the rain that fell last night, and the presence of a waterspout this morning, damage was caused to our facility and surrounding buildings," said Liješević.
She emphasized that steps are being taken to repair the damage as soon as possible.
It is expected that the works will be completed by the evening, and training and activities at the pool are proceeding without interruption.
Restaurants on Slovenska Plaža in Budva suffered significant damage when, before dawn, a waterspout moved from the sea towards the coast, carrying everything away.
According to restaurateurs, the waterspout's onslaught lasted a few minutes, and inventory and a chimney at one of the restaurants were destroyed. The damage is being assessed.
