(Patria) - A protest was held today in the main square of Pristina, demanding the resignation of Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti due to the agreement reached in Ohrid.
Demonstrators removed Kosovo flags in front of the government building and raised white flags because, as stated by the representative of the organizers, SDP President Dardan Molićaj, "Kurti surrendered in Ohrid".
Smoke bombs were also thrown in front of the government headquarters, and the smoke, according to Molićaj, represents "the darkness that Kurti has brought to the citizens of Kosovo".
The protest was organized by the extra-parliamentary Social Democratic Party of Kosovo, a splinter group of Albin Kurti's Self-Determination Movement.
The protest was also supported by some members of the Democratic Party of Kosovo and the KLA War Veterans Association.
Opposition parties are demanding the resignation of Albin Kurti because, as they claim, with the agreement in Ohrid, he accepted the establishment of the Community of Serb Municipalities, thereby changing the policy he had advocated for years and endangering the statehood of Kosovo.
