NO AGREEMENT: Croatia insists on Trgovska Gora, but the story is not over

(Patria)- Croatia and Slovenia did not reach an agreement today on the disposal of nuclear waste in Vrbina, near the Krško power plant, we learned after today's meeting held on this issue in Slovenia. Minister of Environment in the Government of the Republic of Croatia, Ćorić, stated that Croatia will build its own landfill, because it also needs to accommodate medical waste, and that the location of Trgovska Gora, which is disputed for BiH, remains an option where it will do so.

“The fight continues. We will not stop fighting for our right to life and the future of our region, the people and the state of BiH. I am still convinced that if we remain united, there will be no landfill and nuclear waste will not be on the border of BiH. We move on,” said today after learning of this decision, Senad Šepić, coordinator of the Initiative Trgovska Gora – say no, it cannot, and president of the Independent Bloc, which has recently organized and collected signatures for a petition against the construction of this landfill on the border of BiH.
