UNCERTAIN FIGHT IN CROATIAN SDP: Grbin and Kolar in the second round

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - An uncertain fight is underway in the internal elections of the Social Democratic Party of Croatia.

After the electoral shipwreck and the departure of Davor Bernardić from the party leadership, elections were held in this party yesterday. 

The first round did not produce a winner, and in a tense race, Peđa Grbin and Željko Kolar will compete for the top position in the second round. 

These are the results after 98.60% of polling stations have been processed, the SDP of Croatia announced.

Grbin won 40.67%, and Kolar with 26.29% of the votes.

Ranko Ostojić won 17.33%, Mirela Ahmetović 14.61%, and Marino Percan 0.58% of the votes.

The second round of elections for the president of the SDP will be held in seven days, i.e., on October 3.
