No state of emergency in Serbia, that is disinformation

(Patria) - Members of the Crisis Staff in Serbia, Branislav Tiodorović and Darija Kisić Tepavčević, dismissed as disinformation the announcements that a state of emergency could be introduced on October 1st.

The President of the Trade Union of Doctors and Pharmacists, Rade Panić, stated that he possesses "information that October 1st is mentioned as the date for the introduction of a state of emergency", and that this is supported by "the fact that Professor Branislav Tiodorović announced a possible state of emergency seven days ago and Dr. Predrag Kon three days ago".

Darija Kisić Tepavčević, an engaged member of the Crisis Staff, dismissed the possibility of introducing a state of emergency on the first day of October in a statement to the Nova.rs portal.

"I haven't heard anything about it, it's disinformation," Kisić Tepavčević said briefly.

When asked whether the introduction of a state of emergency is being considered soon and whether October 1st was mentioned as a possible date for it, Crisis Staff member Prof. Dr. Branislav Tiodorović replied briefly in an SMS message - "That is orthodox nonsense that no one mentioned except fools".

Epidemiologist Zoran Radovanović said that the introduction of a state of emergency would be meaningless, and that it was unnecessary even in March of this year.

"There is no justification for introducing a state of emergency. It is not a matter of the state's survival. An epidemic of greater epidemiological significance was declared on March 19th. This corresponds to an emergency situation and is sufficient for an effective anti-epidemic fight," said Radovanović, Nova.rs reports.
