Naša stranka and their principles: Sabina Ćudić defends herself with immunity from defamation charges!

Member of Parliament of Naša stranka in the Parliament of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Sabina Ćudić, has decided to defend herself with immunity from defamation charges.

Do you remember the sessions of the Parliament of the Federation of BiH in hotels during the corona period. One such session was held in the Ilidža hotel Terme. When she came to the podium, Ćudić covered the name of the hotel. Then she said: “The session of the House of Representatives of the Parliament of FBiH is being held in a party hotel that operates illegally”.

On today's session of the House of Representatives of the Parliament of FBiH, Sabina Ćudić, before starting her address, covered the name of the hotel in Ilidža, saying that she did not want to participate in its advertising.

HBRD “Hoteli Ilidža” denied Ćudić's claims and then sued her for defamation in the Municipal Court in Sarajevo. The Municipal Court in Sarajevo rejected the request of Sabina Ćudić's lawyers to grant her immunity, after which they appealed to the Constitutional Court of FBiH.

The Constitutional Court of FBiH made a decision on June 20 of this year in case U-20/23, which granted the request of Sabina Ćudić. The decision of the Constitutional Court of the Federation states: “The appeal is granted, the Decision of the Municipal Court in Sarajevo number: 65 0 P 890168 21 P of April 18, 2023, is annulled and the case is returned to that court for a new decision”.

And so, although Naša stranka and its representatives continuously lecture about responsibility and readiness for consequences, it seems that one of the key figures of that party wants to protect responsibility from possible consequences of actions with the immunity that parliamentarians enjoy.

Next time representatives of another party invoke immunity, remember, Naša stranka will issue a barrage of statements that European and other parliaments are abolishing immunities. That's how liberals act, for whom the story of a convicted UZP and facts from ECtHR judgments in which constitutionality is unsustainable is unconstitutional action.

In Naša stranka's narrative, Ćudić attacked a hotel that provided the Parliament of FBiH, as well as others, with the opportunity to convene, while those with whom Naša stranka and Ćudić herself are now in coalition expelled them from the State Parliament. Back then, the abuse of Parliament didn't bother her, but the hotel did.

Today, she is defending herself with immunity from defamation charges. Naša stranka and their principles, right!
