Largest protests in Croatia's history: 40,000 citizens rise against primitivism

A protest in support of continuing the implementation of the Comprehensive Curricular Reform began last night at 6 PM in squares across Croatian cities - in Zagreb, Split, Križevci, Dubrovnik, Slavonski Brod, Osijek, Bjelovar, Rijeka, Virovitica, Poreč, Pula, Zadar, and Korčula. International cities joined Croatian cities in a protest of solidarity for the goals of Croatian protests, Croatian media report, as reported by the Patria News Agency.

Citizens of Croatia do not want politics to interfere with education. Parents, students, teachers, and educators came out to the protests... everyone wants a better future, changes in education, under the motto "Croatia must move forward".

Young Karlo came to the stage in Zagreb on behalf of the students.

-My name is Karlo. I am a student. Please, do not drive me away from my homeland, Croatia. Students do not want to be part of the experiment of bad policies. We want to think with our own heads, be creative, we do not want to blindly memorize but to discuss meaningfully and constructively,' he said, adding that they support the work and enthusiasm of the professors who worked on this reform.

In Croatia, at the most important protest of the modern state, 40,000 people gathered. There were no incidents at any of the protests across the country.
