
The Spanish Cybermetrics Lab, a research group belonging to the Consejo Superior de Investigaciones Cientificas (CSIC), Spain's largest public research body, has conducted a ranking of scientists from Bosnian-Herzegovinian institutions based on data from their public profiles contained in Google Scholar.
Out of 194 Bosnian-Herzegovinian researchers whose h-index is 5 or greater (i.e., they are authors or co-authors of at least 5 papers that have been cited at least 5 times in Google Scholar), 150 researchers are from the University of Sarajevo.
In first place is academician Kemal Hanjalić, a university professor and doctor of technical sciences in the field of thermodynamics and fluid mechanics, whose index is 45, and he has been cited 7,574 times.
In last place is the director of UKCS, Sebija Izetbegović, with five papers, and she has been cited 37 times.
