Germany and Croatia the Best Partners: In April, FBiH Exported Goods Worth 549,391 KM

The Federation of BiH achieved an export in April 2016 with a total value of 549,391 KM, which is 41,503 KM or 8.2% more compared to March 2016, or 22,177 or 4.2% more compared to April of the previous year, writes the Patria News Agency.

In the same month, imports were achieved in the value of 954,259 KM, which is 22,980 KM or 2.5% more compared to March 2016, or 14,907 KM or 1.6% more compared to April of the previous year.

In the period January – April 2016, exports grew by an average of 8.6% each month, and imports grew by an average of 14.1%. The share of the Federation of BiH in the total exports of Bosnia and Herzegovina for April 2016 is 68.6%, and in the total imports 67.2%. The import coverage rate by exports is 57.6%, which is 3.1% more compared to March 2016 when the coverage was 54.5%.

The trade deficit of the Federation of BiH for April 2016 amounts to 404,868. According to the Standard Classification of Activities (KD), for April 2016, the highest export value of 495,520 KM was achieved in the Manufacturing industry, which amounts to 90.2% of the total exports.

The highest import value of 879,951 KM was achieved in the Manufacturing industry, which amounts to 92.2% of the total imports.

- For April 2016, the countries to which the most was exported were: Germany with 103,000 KM or 18.7% of total exports; Croatia with 76,686 KM or 14.0%, and Italy with 53,479 KM or 9.7% of total exports.

Exports to all other countries amount to 316,226 KM or 57.6% of total exports. For the same month, the countries from which the most was imported were: Germany with 131,843 KM or 13.8% of total imports, Italy with 122,233 KM or 12.8%, and Croatia with 112,486 KM or 11.8% of total imports - said the Federal Office of Statistics.
