The Patria News Agency has received an urgent letter from the International Expert Team of the Institute for Research of Genocide Canada (IGK) addressed to several important addresses within the institutions of the international community in BiH.
The IGK, headed by Professor Emir Ramić, addressed the High Representative in Bosnia and Herzegovina Valentin Inzko, the EU Special Representative in BiH Lars-Gunnar Wigemark, and the members of the Steering Board of the Peace Implementation Council in Bosnia and Herzegovina. The letter states, among other things:
Stop the Republic of Serbia's open interference in the internal affairs of the sovereign state of Bosnia and Herzegovina. Apply the force of the 2007 International Court of Justice ruling against the entity of Republika Srpska, for genocide. For all patriots and friends of truth and justice in the world, "January ninth" is a reminder of the horror of aggression and genocide and the attempt to destroy the state of the Republic of Bosnia and Herzegovina. The foundations of the Republika Srpska entity on the soil of Bosnia and Herzegovina were laid on mass graves of Bosniaks and the most monstrous crimes that today's civilized person can barely comprehend.
...Today, that entity is an example of apartheid in Europe, where the basic human rights and freedoms of many citizens, primarily Bosniaks, are violated. While the political establishment of the Republika Srpska entity denies the Bosniak people, their history, culture, tradition, and language, as well as the sovereignty, integrity, territorial integrity, and statehood of Bosnia and Herzegovina, you must open a process of reviewing the legality and existence of that entity.
This process can begin with the application of the International Court of Justice ruling according to which the institutions of the Republika Srpska entity, the army, and the police committed genocide. The 2007 International Court of Justice ruling is the strongest argument for realizing the rights of victims of aggression and genocide in Bosnia and Herzegovina and the best instrument for restoring dignity to a European country and a UN member, as well as restoring dignity to all its citizens, victims of aggression and genocide.
The Constitutional Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina has decided that January 9th – the Day of the Republika Srpska entity – is unconstitutional. The Constitutional Court found that the Law on Holidays of the Republika Srpska entity is not in accordance with the Constitution of Bosnia and Herzegovina, and that it violates the International Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Racial Discrimination and the European Convention for the Protection of Human Rights and Fundamental Freedoms.
The announcement of the Government of the Republic of Serbia attending the celebration of the Entity Day, led by Prime Minister Aleksandar Vučić, is direct interference in the internal affairs of the state of Bosnia and Herzegovina, jeopardizing the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Bosnia and Herzegovina. The visit will have an immeasurably destabilizing turning point in interstate relations in the Region and Europe. The announcement of the Serbian Prime Minister about attending the January 9th celebration symbolizes the legitimization of genocide crimes in Bosnia and Herzegovina – the letter states.
