(Patria) - Serbian Prime Minister Ana Brnabić stated that the report published on the website of the Government of Serbia contained the phrase "Republic of Kosovo" and added that it was a translation error.
Brnabić told Radio Television of Serbia today that it was written in the English translation and described it as a "gross, unforgivable mistake by the translator".
Kosovo declared independence in 2008, but official Belgrade refuses to recognize it as a state.
In official addresses and on the websites of Serbian institutions, Kosovo is referred to as part of Serbia.
The Government of Serbia published information on its website about the parliamentary debate on Kosovo and Metohija.

In the English version, they casually state "REPUBLIC OF KOSOVO".
Either they are traitors or ignoramuses. Or both.
In Spain or Cyprus, resignations would be submitted for this.https://t.co/tLWR4F5grP pic.twitter.com/bTKJayQFS8
Brnabić said that the internet team of the Government's press service also bears responsibility, which is why there will be consequences for the employees who made such a mistake, as she stated, RSE reports.
She also stated that the controversial news was immediately removed from the Government's website. The translator in the Government, as she explained, has been working since 2001 and holds a Master's degree in English.
- I couldn't sleep last night, I don't know what I'm doing, to kill myself over it - I can't. But I regret that it is being used by some political opposition to gain political points - Brnabić said.
