Only Mektić reacts to dangerous claims from Croatia, why is the BiH Presidency silent?

When Croatian President Kolinda Grabar Kitarović stated at the end of November that BiH is a threat to Croatia due to internal instability and increasingly radical Islam in the country, apart from reactions from a few politicians, professors, and analysts, there was no serious response from BiH to the accusations from the neighboring country, writes the BiH news agency Patria.

In the same context, Večernji list published an article stating that BiH is becoming a "hotbed of Wahhabism," referring to a SIPA report and SOA data, which will soon be established as fabricated reports. 

Only the BiH Minister of Security, Dragan Mektić, reacted among BiH officials, denying the existence of such a SIPA report. He publicly called on the director of the Croatian Security and Intelligence Agency to clarify the claims made by the media from the neighboring country.

However, despite this, Croatian President Grabar-Kitarović has not stopped her accusations against BiH. Yesterday in Dubrovnik, she reiterated that "thousands of fighters from the so-called Islamic State are coming to BiH." She stated that she wants complete security for Croatia's borders, all 1001 km of which border BiH.

The public in BiH criticizes the lack of reaction from the members of the BiH Presidency. Those responsible for conducting foreign policy have not reacted to the accusations. Critics accuse the authorities in BiH of lacking the interest, courage, or knowledge to respond to these dangerous claims. BiH is expecting the European Commissioner for Enlargement, Johannes Hahn, so brave, cooperative, and decisive politicians would be very welcome in the country. 

"Members of the BiH Presidency are preoccupied with their own political and entity interests instead of protecting the state they lead," are some of the comments heard among opposition parties. They also question whether Croatia's intention is to present itself as a factor of stability in the region, especially in BiH, to European leaders, and thus decided to use the method of damaging Bosnia and Herzegovina's reputation, writes NAP.
