Musa: In the past 24 hours, 329 samples were tested, 29 people positive

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - In the Federation of BiH, a total of 5,320 people have been tested, of which 525 cases have been confirmed, announced Sanjin Musa, a member of the Crisis Staff of the Federal Ministry of Health and Head of the Epidemiology Service of the Public Health Institute of the FBiH, at a regular press conference.

"According to the gender structure, women accounted for 54 percent, and men 46 percent. The cities with the most confirmed cases are Čitluk 71, Mostar 56, Tuzla and Sarajevo 58, Široki Brijeg 43. In the past 24 hours, 329 samples were tested, of which 23 people were positive," added Musa.

He added that currently in FBiH, 65 patients positive for COVID-19 are hospitalized, and six patients are on ventilators.

"As of today, we have 29 recovered patients in FBiH, and we expect more in the coming period because the isolation period has expired for many and a second test is being conducted. Of the 22 confirmed deaths, both genders are equally represented, and 64 percent of the deceased were over 65 years of age," said Musa.

When asked if they have a specific recommendation due to the nice weather, Musa asked citizens to adhere to physical distancing measures and avoid gatherings, especially intergenerational gatherings during the Easter holidays.
