Serbian MUP and RS MUP conducting armed exercise: How Vučić's regime brutally violates BiH sovereignty

The Serbian MUP and RS MUP have announced their joint anti-terrorism exercise for August 29 this year at the border crossing from Šepak to Loznica. As the Director of the Border Police, Zoran Galić, has been on sick leave for a long time, his duties have been taken over by his deputy, Zijad Srabović.

This is a flagrant violation of the sovereignty of Bosnia and Herzegovina and a breach of its borders. Srabović has sought an opinion from the BiH Ministry of Security, although the BiH Law on Border Police obliges him to prevent such actions.       

Not only the Council of Ministers is silent about these official announcements from the Serbian MUP and RS MUP. The BiH Presidency is also silent. Political parties are also silent, even though their party programs, in their first articles, state that they will fight for the sovereignty and independence of BiH.

All of this has been seen before, from October 7 to 11, 2013, when a similar, allegedly anti-terrorism exercise by the Serbian MUP and RS MUP was held at HE Perućac. Even then, there were no serious reactions from the state bodies of BiH, nor from the BiH Border Police.       

The question arises as to how Serbia's authorities would react if, for example, the Kosovo MUP organized a similar armed exercise for them in three municipalities with an Albanian majority? Or the Bulgarian MUP in Serbia's territory in a municipality with a Bulgarian majority?

It is unknown what Serbian Prime Minister Aleksandar Vučić discussed with US Vice President Joe Biden, but after the conversation, he said that "one spark is enough to ignite the region."

Such an exercise could only have been agreed upon by someone who does not care about peace in the region but about constantly raising tensions. Isn't it state terrorism to violate the territorial integrity of BiH without asking for and obtaining permission from state authorities?   

It is unclear why Aleksandar Vučić is the one who "produces sparks" while simultaneously expressing concern.
