Muftija Grabus, Bandić and Janković visited the construction site of the Ljubljana mosque

Ljubljana Mufti Nedžad ef. Grabus on Tuesday, May 18, received the mayors of Ljubljana and Zagreb, Zoran Janković and Milan Bandić, at the construction site of the Ljubljana mosque, reports the bh. news agency Patria.

Bandić said that Zagreb and Ljubljana can be an example to other European cities.

- We live multiculturally and that is our greatest victory - said Bandić.

During the tour of the construction site, where the first phase of construction is nearing completion, Bandić repeatedly emphasized the good relations between Zagreb and Ljubljana. Janković said that the exchange of experiences between cities is invaluable.

During Bandić's visit, Mufti Grabus said that Zagreb is an 'inspiration' for the Islamic Community in Slovenia, especially the Islamic Community in the Croatian capital. According to Grabus, people in Zagreb are not integrated but are an integral part of society.

The Mufti said that the first phase of construction work will be completed by the end of September, and the entire complex should be completed next year.

Regarding financial resources, the Islamic Community will count on assistance from Qatar for the second phase of construction as well. Mufti Grabus said that he will launch an initiative to arrange the railway museum and its surroundings, which are located in the immediate vicinity of the Islamic Cultural Center.
