Mitrović with Mićo Mićić: Minister increasingly discussing Belgrade – Sarajevo highway

(Patria) - Minister of Communications and Transport of BiH Vojin Mitrović will meet with the Mayor of Bijeljina Mićo Mićić and his associates to discuss the implementation of the Belgrade – Sarajevo highway construction project.

Recently, Mitrović also spoke with the Turkish Ambassador to BiH Haldun Koç about the continuation and acceleration of the implementation of the Belgrade – Sarajevo – Belgrade highway construction project. 

During the meeting, they also discussed the need to organize a ministerial meeting between BiH and the Republic of Turkey on the topic of the Belgrade – Sarajevo – Belgrade highway construction. This ministerial meeting would, as stated, serve to prepare a trilateral meeting of BiH – Serbia – Turkey, which is expected to be held in Sarajevo in May of this year.

Mitrović stated at the time that the Ministry of Communications and Transport of BiH will strive to remove all administrative obstacles to commence the construction of the highway from Bijeljina to Sarajevo, as well as the expressway from Sarajevo to Višegrad and the border crossing with Serbia.
