Miro Lazović: Vučić has remained silent a million times on Dodik's secessionist statements

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - In an effort to convince the participants of the Berlin Summit that his role as a peacemaker is crucial for the Balkans, Aleksandar Vučić stated after the meeting in Berlin: "I have said a million times that I respect the territorial integrity of Bosnia and Herzegovina..." However, at the same time, he forgets that he has remained silent a million times while standing next to Milorad Dodik, not reacting to Dodik's secessionist statements that deny BiH as a state. He forgets that he has remained silent a million times about Dodik's announcements that he will do everything to make Serbia and RS one.

This was stated by the Vice-President of SDP, Miro Lazović, after the Serbian President stated in Berlin: "I have said a million times that I respect the territorial integrity of Bosnia and Herzegovina."

Vučić wondered if he should now explain to the Chairman of the Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Denis Bećirović, who said that he is afraid of redrawing borders, that Serbia is not for redrawing borders and that it respects the territorial integrity of BiH.

"As far as I know, BiH has not recognized Kosovo's independence. Zvizdić could have meant one set of borders - that Kosovo is part of Serbia, so there are no border redrawing. Thank you, Zvizdić, for respecting Serbia's borders. And if he meant that there are no border redrawing in the sense that Kosovo is an independent state, it is a strange principle of his, that there is border redrawing for Serbia, but not for others," said Vučić.

Lazović reminded that Vučić, regardless of his statements about respecting the territorial integrity of Bosnia and Herzegovina, has never distanced himself from Milorad Dodik's announcements that he will unite Republika Srpska, an entity in BiH, with Serbia.

"On the contrary, we saw his irritating smile and, for us, worrying silence," said Lazović.

"As long as Aleksandar Vučić behaves like this and does not publicly distance himself from Dodik's problematic statements, the belief will prevail that Milorad Dodik is the spokesperson for Belgrade's policy and that he says what Aleksandar Vučić thinks," said Lazović, reports Patria agency.
