Minister Kovač: Vučić incites Serbs against Croats and Croatia

Croatian Foreign Minister Miro Kovač stated on Saturday that Serbian Prime Minister Aleksandar Vučić's address yesterday, in which he accused Croatia of reviving Ustasha ideology and stated that Belgrade would never again allow a new Storm, represents a continuation of the Greater Serbia policy from the 90s, in which Vučić personally participated, reports Patria News Agency.

- We remember that Mr. Vučić came to Croatia at that time, to the occupied part of Croatia, and stated in 1995 that Glina and Banija would never be Croatian, that they were and would remain Serbian, and that the people there would live in Greater Serbia. This is a continuation of such behavior, such a policy, which is unacceptable to us - said Minister Miro Kovač in Bilimi near Mostar, where he is participating in a commemoration on the occasion of the European Day dedicated to the commemoration of victims of all totalitarian regimes.

- Our policy in Croatia is a policy of peace-building. That is a value of the Croatian constitution, but we will not be intimidated - Kovač stated, adding that Prime Minister Vučić continues to incite his own people against Croatia and Croats.

- What we heard from Mr. Vučić yesterday is the incitement of his, the Serbian people, against Croats, against Croatia. This is, in a way, a continuation of the policy from the 90s when Croatia was attacked, a victim of the Greater Serbian aggression - added the Croatian Minister of Foreign and European Affairs. He said that, unlike US Vice President Joe Biden, who recently apologized in Belgrade and expressed condolences to the families of the victims of the NATO bombing in 1999, Aleksandar Vučić has never apologized to Croats. He called on the Serbian authorities to free themselves from the Greater Serbia policy.

- We will never agree to such incitement of the Serbian people against the Croatian people, and we ask him to finally free himself from Greater Serbian thinking, to help himself and his people, and to start living European values. To finally start living the peace-building he talks about, but which he has never put into practice - explained Minister Kovač.

The Serbian Prime Minister last night in Donja Gradina in Bosnia and Herzegovina, while participating in the commemoration of the victims of the Ustasha concentration camp Jasenovac, dangerously escalated his rhetoric with Croatia.
