Mešalić: We must clearly define ourselves towards attacks on BiH, Greater-state projects still reside in Belgrade and Zagreb

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - Dark days came to Bosnia and Herzegovina on October 2nd when High Representative Christian Schmidt imposed decisions that introduced apartheid in the FBiH, and even in BiH, stated the representative in the FBiH Parliament Mahir Mešalić (DF) as a guest on the Federal Television show Rezime.

- We believe that we will get out of this very difficultly without either Schmidt's decisions being withdrawn, or another High Representative coming, or something spectacular happening.

Unconstitutional FBiH Government

Although the international community promotes that it wants to get rid of ethno-national parties, it is clear that all ethno-national parties in BiH and their agendas have been further strengthened by this move by Schmidt.

We know what that means in the long run, it will only be shown in the next elections. Then the suspension of the Constitution, as we saw in order to form the FBiH Government - that does not exist anywhere in the world.

Without any intention of delving into blood counts, it is also clear that Igor Stojanović was not for part of this current Government until Dragan Čović and Lidija Bradara called him.

They had the sovereign right and integrity to decide in the process. However, Schmidt took away that integrity from Refik Lendo for the simple reason that this imposed, and I can say unconstitutional, FBiH Government would be formed - said Mešalić.

He assesses that in this way, rights were taken away from Bosniaks, but also from Croats who live predominantly with Bosniaks.

- It cannot happen that 15 votes from Široki Brijeg are worth more than a Croat from Tuzla, Sarajevo, Zenica, Travnik, etc. That is beyond reason in the 21st century. Because of everything we have been through, we deserve at least to be equal - Mešalić is of the opinion.

He points out that the most discriminated against are the citizens who love this country the most.

- I believe that looking in terms of nations is not good for BiH. We must have a policy and clearly define ourselves towards all the attacks on BiH that we are witnessing.

Unfortunately, that has not stopped since 1992. Greater-state projects, unfortunately, still reside in Belgrade and Zagreb. We should not be fooled by false promises, we should believe in ourselves - he stated.

We are left alone

He adds that the capacities of the DF are as much as the people have given them trust.

- Unfortunately, we have somehow been left alone on the path of the civic option in BiH, but that does not give us the right to give up - Mešalić is clear.

Asked what he most blames the "trojka" parties for, he said: "NiP and I are two different worlds".

- NiP has done everything since the Neum talks to be as Čović wants. We will never reconcile with that. Clear conditions must be set for HDZ and SNSD. They are not uniting for nothing. They are uniting at the expense of BiH - Mešalić believes.

He emphasizes that the HDZ will forever decide "which Muslims they will choose as partners and under what conditions".

- What do they need a third entity for when they have gained control of the entire Federation. SNSD and HDZ will always have a say and always manage the majority of BiH citizens through joint efforts - Mešalić assesses.

He notes that Elmedin Konaković and the FBiH Government have an agenda to shut down TE Tuzla and all mines in the FBiH because they are being asked to switch to energy sources coming from Russia.

- This will put pressure on SNSD and the citizens of BiH will not fare well, especially the FBiH, i.e., TK. We are absolutely for both the eastern and southern interconnections, but it must be implemented through the state gas law, which SNSD and HDZ do not want because they do not consider us a state, but a territory.

And here I blame the behavior of the "trojka". They deal with trivial matters. SNSD and HDZ do not agree to compromises, only to concessions. We must not allow that - added Mešalić.

He states that the House of Representatives of the FBiH Parliament has not met for a month.

- We have submitted a request for the dismissal of Sanja Vlaisavljević and we will insist on it - concluded Mešalić.
