The prosecutor of the Special Department for Organized Crime, Economic Crime and Corruption of the BiH Prosecutor's Office has filed an indictment against: Sulejman Beriša, born 09.09.1983 in Banja Luka, residing in Ključ and Trebinje, a citizen of BiH, Mersudin Mešković, born 21.12.1986 in Vlasenica, residing in Trebinje, a citizen of BiH, Saša Pešić, born 24.05.1991 in Trebinje, where he resides, a citizen of BiH, Mirko Ateljević, born 29.02.1992 in Trebinje, where he resides, a citizen of BiH, and Dragan Šarenac, born 08.10.1981 in Bileća, residing in Trebinje, previously convicted, a citizen of BiH, it was announced from the BiH Prosecutor's Office, reports the Patria News Agency.
The accused are charged that from the end of 2014 until May 2015, in the area of the municipality of Trebinje in Bosnia and Herzegovina and Dubrovnik in Croatia, Sulejman Beriša as the organizer of a group of people, and Mersudin Mešković, Saša Pešić, Mirko Ateljević and Dragan Šarenac as members of an organized group of people, carried out unauthorized international sale, transfer, purchase and brokerage in the international sale of a substance declared by regulation as a narcotic drug.
According to the indictment, Sulejman Beriša and Mersudin Mešković, as active police officers of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republika Srpska, as well as Saša Pešić, contacted and met several times in the Trebinje area and the Republic of Croatia with a buyer of narcotic drugs from Dubrovnik, who was a well-known consumer of narcotic drugs, and where they arranged the procurement and delivery of narcotic drugs.
The active police officers carried out the trade and delivery of narcotic drugs to the Republic of Croatia by using their position as police officers, and their acquaintance with other police officers working in border police, and transported narcotic drugs to the Dubrovnik area in their vehicles.
During April 2015, during a new delivery of narcotic drugs, the accused Mersudin Mešković was searched by Croatian border police officers at the border crossing upon entering that country and approximately two kilograms of the narcotic drug "marijuana - skunk" were found.
The accused are charged with committing the criminal offense of unauthorized trafficking in narcotic drugs from Article 250, Paragraph 2, in conjunction with Paragraph 1 of the Criminal Code of BiH. The indictment has been forwarded for confirmation to the BiH Court, according to the statement of the BiH Prosecutor's Office.
