Marijo Pejić new president of the Croatian National Council in Bosnia and Herzegovina

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - Marijo Pejić from Sarajevo was elected as the new president of the Croatian National Council in Bosnia and Herzegovina (HNV), at today's session of the 8th HNV Assembly, which also marked the 25th anniversary of the Council's work.

Pejić was born on July 6, 1977, in Sarajevo, where he completed primary school. He finished classical grammar school in Zagreb. He graduated in sociology from the Faculty of Political Sciences at the University of Sarajevo and obtained the title of professor of sociology, after which he completed postgraduate studies and earned a master's degree in communication sciences - public relations. He defended his doctoral dissertation in the field of communication sciences and obtained a doctorate. 
Pejić was director of the Media Center of the Croatian Cultural Society Napredak and the Vrhbosna radio station from Sarajevo, director of the Public Institution Bosnian Cultural Center Sarajevo (for two terms), director of Television of Bosnia and Herzegovina (BHT1), and a member of the Management Board of BHRT... Pejić was also a member of the Program Council of the BHRT Management Board for two terms. Since last year, he has been working as an editor at Federal Television. 

He is the recipient of numerous domestic and international awards, recognitions, and certificates of appreciation. He is the author of many scientific and professional books and papers. He is a member of the Croatian Society for Science and Art of Bosnia and Herzegovina, the Association of Independent Intellectuals KRUG 99, and other non-governmental organizations.
