(Patria) - Serbian portals published a video of a monkey on the roof of a house in the Belgrade neighborhood of Karaburma.
The video was first published yesterday by the Instagram page moj_beo_grad.
It is unclear how the monkey found itself at large, nor in Belgrade.
It is a monkey from the macaque genus. There are 23 species of macaques living throughout Asia, North Africa, and Gibraltar.
In the video, a person's voice can be heard saying that they gave the monkey chocolate and apples, which the animal took and then escaped again.
It is not yet known what happened to the monkey after it was filmed.
