(Patria) - French President Emmanuel Macron said today that he spoke with German Chancellor Olaf Scholz, Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić, and Kosovo President Vjosa Osmani, and the topic was the conflict in Kosovo.
Macron emphasized that he agreed with Scholz, Vučić, and Osmani that there will be "clearer decisions" regarding Kosovo in the coming weeks.
Both Vučić and Osmani, as stated, insisted that they want de-escalation of the crisis in northern Kosovo, but expressed very little willingness to deviate from their positions.
Macron said that France and Germany have called on the leaders of Kosovo and Serbia to organize new elections as soon as possible in the regions affected by recent civil unrest.
After that, Osmani addressed the public, stating that her country is ready to hold new local elections in the restless north, provided it is in accordance with the law.
