Luka Dončić helps those affected by severe weather in Slovenia

(Patria) - Luka Dončić has joined efforts to help Slovenia, which has been hit by severe weather in recent days, resulting in catastrophic floods.

Slovenian Prime Minister Robert Golob said it is the worst natural disaster in the country's history, affecting two-thirds of the country. The damage is likely to exceed 500 million euros.

“The Luka Dončić Foundation is shaken by the catastrophic floods that have destroyed homes, claimed lives, and caused chaos in Slovenia. We are in contact with local authorities to support them and will continue to provide assistance as long as it is needed. We thank the firefighters and all rescuers on the ground, as well as those who have responded, risking their own lives to help those most in need.

Our hearts and thoughts are with all the residents of Slovenia who have lost their homes in the terrible floods. We will do everything we can to help them,” reads the statement from the foundation founded by Dončić, a Slovenian national team player, member of the Dallas Mavericks, and one of the best basketball players in the world.

Dončić is currently in training camp with the national team for the World Cup, which begins at the end of August.
