The Prime Minister-designate of the new Serbian Government, Aleksandar Vučić, and the President of Croatia, Kolinda Grabar Kitarović, met today on the Danube bridge, in the border zone near Erdut, at the Bogojevo-Erdut border crossing. Afterwards, they went together to Dalj where they visited the birthplace of the Serbian scientist Milutin Milanković and unveiled his bust. The visit to this Croatian place ended around 1:30 PM, and the talks between Vučić and Grabar Kitarović continue in Serbia, where they will visit Donji Tavankut and the Cultural Centre "Matija Gubec", writes Patria.
Vučić also presented the Croatian President with a bouquet of flowers.
The two officials will sign a Declaration on improving relations and resolving open issues between Serbia and Croatia, which will include the mutual protection of minority rights, the desire to resolve border disputes, the issue of missing persons, and succession.
Comments about this meeting, which Serbian media are calling "historic", have already started on social networks. Analyst Svetlana Cenić wrote on Twitter, along with photos she posted: "Love is in the air".
