Livaković hero of Croatia: The best moments of my career

(Patria) - Croatia advanced to the quarterfinals of the World Cup by defeating Japan in a better penalty shootout. After 120 minutes it was 1-1, and in the penalties the hero was Dominik Livaković, who stopped the Japanese three times. After the match, he did not hide his happiness about advancing to the quarterfinals. 

“The feeling is great, first of all for the team, the atmosphere is fantastic. Thanks to the fans who came. The Japanese applied excellent pressure from the start. We played a tough match, they were superbly prepared, but so were we. We won when it was hardest for us. This is the best match of my life and the best moments of my career,” said Livaković.

Croatia's coach Zlatko Dalić said after the match that this is the third best result in the history of the national team. 

"Before the match they said it would be easy for them, but never underestimate a Croat, we may be small, but we are brave, combative and hardworking. The boys regained their persistence and faith," said Dalić.
