(Patria) - Bosnia's top cyclist Lejla Njemčević secured a victory with a dominant ride at the XCO UCI C1 race in Croatia, earning 60 new UCI points. With a lead of over two minutes, second place went to Mia Cameron, a New Zealand representative, while the podium was completed by Csenge Anna Bokros of Hungary in third place.
Lejla took the lead from the first lap and steadily increased her advantage with a confident ride until the end of the race. Conditions on the course were made more difficult by rain that fell several days before the race, making the technical rocky sections extremely slippery.
The next competition for our athlete is the national championship, which will also be the final preparation before the first World Cup of the season, held in a new format in May in the Czech Republic. The International Cycling Union has consolidated all World Cup races in various MTB disciplines, which are now held over a single weekend with live broadcast on the Discovery and Warner Bros platform.
