SARAJEVO, (Patria) - Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti accused Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić of “running away from signing the agreement” with Priština.
“They ran away from signing the agreement as well as the annex to that agreement. We were ready to sign both in Brussels and here in Ohrid,” Kurti stated.
Kurti noted that constitutionality and legality are the basic principles of the agreement, and that the agreement on the Community of Serbian Municipalities was reached earlier.
„I advocate for the rights of everyone in Kosovo, including those who have their personal private property in Kosovo. This is not a final agreement, but the agreement has been accepted, as has today's annex. The President of Serbia is running away from signing the agreement, and it is de facto recognition. Now we have an annex on how we will implement it. This agreement is acceptable to us – I am not running away from signing it,” Kurti emphasized.
He also recalled the issue of missing persons in Kosovo.
„There are still 1,617 missing persons in Kosovo. Most are Albanians, but there are also Serbs and persons of other nationalities. We will make an effort to find out their fate as soon as possible. We did not discuss local elections; that is an internal matter of Kosovo,” Kurti noted.
