SARAJEVO, (Patria) - Acting Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti announced that from midnight the tax on products from BiH and Serbia will be completely abolished and replaced with reciprocity.
Kurti said at an extraordinary press conference that the decision will be in effect until June 15, when an assessment will be made on how it has been implemented, RTS reports.
Kurti said the reciprocity measure is in line with the CEFTA agreement and European trade practices.
He specified that the reciprocity measure applies only to Serbia, while the tax on goods from BiH is abolished unconditionally.
Earlier, Kosovo's Constitutional Court ruled as unconstitutional the measure of the outgoing government of Albin Kurti to daily restrict the movement of citizens and civilian vehicles as a form of protection against the spread of the coronavirus.
Incidentally, Kurti will not respond to the invitation of Kosovo President Hashim Thaçi for consultations with leaders of parliamentary parties to determine a mandate holder for the formation of a new government.
