(Patria) - After talks with EU High Representative Josep Borrell and dialogue envoy Miroslav Lajčák, as well as today's meeting with Quint ambassadors, Kosovo's Prime Minister Albin Kurti presented a five-point plan for de-escalating the situation in northern Kosovo, as published on the Instagram page Zubin Potok info.
The first point cites the enforcement of law in the four northern municipalities and the identification and prosecution of those who attacked the police, KFOR, and journalists.
The second stipulates that "violent groups immediately withdraw from the territory of Kosovo," and the third that the Kosovo Police, KFOR, and Eulex conduct joint security assessments every 15 days.
The fourth point states that the Kosovo government will coordinate with all actors and call early elections in the four northern municipalities, which will be held in a free and democratic atmosphere.
The final point states that Kosovo and Serbia immediately return to dialogue, in which the EU ensures the implementation of the reached agreement and organises a high-level meeting next week.
Kurti's plan does not mention the withdrawal of special units of the Kosovo Police from northern Kosovo, which was demanded by Serbs protesting in front of three municipalities in the north, nor the start of forming the Community of Serb Municipalities.
