Krišto announces joint session of the BiH Council of Ministers and the Croatian Government for June 20, sets deadline for proposing topics

(Patria) - At the session of the BiH Council of Ministers held on April 12, the Chairwoman of the BiH Council of Ministers, Borjana Krišto, informed the members of the Council of Ministers about the organization of a joint session of the Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Government of the Republic of Croatia, planned for June 20, 2023 in Zagreb.

A deadline has been set for the ministries of the Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the members of the Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina to submit proposals for possible topics to be considered at the aforementioned joint session to the General Secretariat of the BiH Council of Ministers no later than 15 days.

The next session of the BiH Council of Ministers is scheduled for Thursday, April 27, but the agenda has not yet been published. Officials from the RS insist on adopting items regarding the new eastern interconnection. Given the new situation and the threats of Milorad Dodik to withdraw officials and halt decision-making at the state level until the RS bodies decide on the matter, it is questionable whether the session of the Council of Ministers, as well as the joint session with the Government of the Republic of Croatia, will be held.

The Minister of Defense of BiH, Zukan Helez, has already discussed the topics of the joint session with his Croatian colleague Mario Banožić during a meeting in Germany.

He also agreed that at the upcoming conference and exhibition of military equipment in Zadar in May, the BiH delegation will include representatives of the defense industry in BiH.
