Konaković in Zagreb with raised, not outstretched hands: Politics on internal state matters is conducted in BiH, not in Zagreb!

(Patria) - Minister of Foreign Affairs of Bosnia and Herzegovina Elmedin Konaković said today after a meeting with Croatian Foreign Minister Gordan Grlić Radman that, among other things, the two discussed the southern interconnection and the Election Law of BiH. Both are therefore issues of importance for Croatia (!?), especially the Southern Interconnection, which Konaković talks about as if it were some new project.

It is new in the sense that BH-Gas wants to be dispossessed, and a new company is to be formed in cantons with a Croatian majority!? Experts have written a lot about this, but Konaković, through a 'policy of compromise', strengthens Croatia's role even in matters that should not be opened in neighboring Croatia, such as the Election Law of BiH.

Well, speaking about possible solutions regarding the Election Legislation, he said that "today we did not discuss the details of the mentioned topics".

“We timed it so that we would come out with some concrete solutions by the sixth month at this joint session. Some that are more complex will not be ready even by then. In the coalition agreement we signed together, there is a deadline of six months from the formation of all levels of government at all levels. That means that from the appointment of the Federal Government, we will have a six-month deadline to start negotiations on amendments to the Election Law and partial amendments to the Constitution,” said Konaković.

Sifet Kukuruz commented on today's visit of Konaković to Croatia in a way “that we came with raised, not outstretched hands".

“Whoever agrees that policies of other countries' governments are implemented in BiH and supports that approach denies the Constitution of BiH. The Constitution of BiH in its preamble obliges respect, not only of the sovereignty and territorial integrity of BiH, but also of the 'political independence of BiH'.

Therefore, politics on internal matters of the state of BiH is conducted in BiH, not in Zagreb or Belgrade.

Let Konaković try to agree with officials of the Republic of Croatia on legal solutions, even in the field of sports, that will be applied in that country or any other field, and he will understand how state sovereignty and political independence are defended,” emphasized Kukuruz.
