Konaković and Abazović: Bosnia and Herzegovina and Montenegro have no open issues

(Patria) - Montenegro and Bosnia and Herzegovina have no open political issues, and the possibility of the two countries jointly promoting tourism could be a great opportunity, it was stated today at the meeting of Montenegrin Prime Minister Dritan Abazović and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Bosnia and Herzegovina Elmedin Konaković.

Konaković is on an official visit to Montenegro, where he is meeting with the highest state officials. Abazović said after the meeting that the relations between Montenegro and Bosnia and Herzegovina are exemplary.

"I am sure that in the coming period we will achieve common interests, which are to develop good neighborly relations and to develop the European perspective of the entire region. At the meeting, we opened several topics that are important for the citizens of our two countries. These are projects related to energy, as well as infrastructure, and that is what is most important. We have no open political issues," said Abazović.

Konaković thanked for the warm welcome and emphasized that Montenegro and Bosnia and Herzegovina have no open political issues.

"We have a signed border agreement. We are on a mission to properly utilize the geographical position of Bosnia and Herzegovina. Our mission is to be a place of connection, and in that space we see common opportunities for our two countries, on the European and Euro-Atlantic path, and some of Montenegro's experiences can help us there. We can jointly promote tourism. We are doing all this at a time when people are leaving our region, primarily heading to Western Europe, and that is a great challenge," said Konaković.

Konaković met last night with Montenegrin President Milo Đukanović.

After Montenegro, Konaković is traveling to Serbia, where he will meet with President Aleksandar Vučić, Prime Minister Ana Brnabić, and Foreign Minister Ivica Dačić.
