Friends of Bosnia and Herzegovina are confused, at least those who remain! What is Bosnia and Herzegovina, who leads it, where is it going and in what way?
In confusing the public recently, the most active is the Minister of Foreign Affairs of BiH, Elmedin Konaković. On his regional tour, he simply amnestied the negative-hostile roles of Croatia and Serbia towards BiH. He should have even apologized that the entire public and academic community raised alarms and took positions that Croatia and Serbia, as aggressor countries, cannot be part of internal processes in BiH.
Senad Hadžifejzović was also left confused while interviewing Konaković, because to every logical question he answered with NO. So he did not mention to Milanović the soap, the verdicts for UZP, interference in the internal affairs of BiH – in the form of meddling in resolving the Election Law. He did not mention to Vučić the genocide, specifically the issue of building the Buk Bijela HPP...
He claims that he came to neighboring countries to show readiness for dialogue and that he could have "made a name for himself" on the tour, but that was not his goal. There he is right, he did not make a name for himself! Because dialogue without previously resolved problems makes no sense.
"I could have made a name for myself on the tour, I could have lectured everyone. I could have lectured Vučić about genocide, Abazović, Milanović about perfume and soap. I could have caused an incident in all three countries and gained points. I had already publicly lectured them about that before, but now to do that - citizens get nothing from it," said Konaković for FaceTV, stating that his role as head of BiH diplomacy requires a different approach.
What is this new approach? What we have seen new so far is that members of the delegation of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of BiH are municipal mayors, of course those who are members of NIP, so somehow MIP has become NIP.
The role of Nermin Muzur in the delegation is still unclear, and this new approach of Konaković is also unclear. Because, I would not say that citizens live better, it is true they would not live better even if Konaković had told the neighboring authorities what they deserve, but perhaps they would be more dignified. This way, neither life nor dignity.
If Konaković listened to the academic community and academics who have been warning for years that citizens of BiH are hostages of Croatia and Serbia's interference in political relations in BiH, he would know that no open issues can be resolved before Croatia and Serbia stop their hostile actions.
Konaković stated that Vučić told him he is tired, and that 'if we can agree, good and fine, if not, nothing, Vučić is tired'.
Citizens of BiH are tired of Vučić, Milanović, Plenković, but also Dodik, Čović... They are tired of the unprincipled politics that the Eight now offers as a compromise, but in which only Bosniaks-Bosnians must remain silent about insults, theft of property, while our fate is shaped in Belgrade and Zagreb, and we shrug our shoulders and applaud the 'overly brave' Konaković.
But there he really shows courage. However, every courage borders on madness.
Konaković obviously has not fully understood Winston Churchill, who once wrote 'success is not final, failure is not fatal, it is the courage to continue that counts'. And Konaković is persistent in his intention to surrender in a compromise!
He can't see the forest for the trees. He talks about projects, highways, interconnections...
He sees nothing problematic in the Southern Interconnection, where BH-Gas wants to be dispossessed, and a new company is to be formed in cantons with a Croatian majority!? Experts have written a lot about this, but Konaković, through his 'politics of compromise', strengthens Croatia's role even in issues that should not be opened in neighboring Croatia, such as the BiH Election Law.
And whoever agrees that policies of other states' governments be implemented in BiH and supports that approach denies the Constitution of BiH.
The Constitution of BiH in its preamble obliges respect, not only of the sovereignty and territorial integrity of BiH, but also of the 'political independence of BiH'. It is precisely for this reason that he is bothered by the proposal of Milan Dunović, who submitted to the parliamentary procedure a proposal for amendments to the Criminal Code of Bosnia and Herzegovina, which foresee punishment for violating the sovereignty of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
And such politics is the fruit of the fight against an imposed reality, and the reality is that even the Minister of Foreign Affairs is undermining the sovereignty of his own country and persistently works on that, while he sees the only enemy exclusively in SDA and DF, and a few journalists, and enjoys the company of Vučić, Milanović, Plenković, and Brnabić. Just like a statesman!
