(Patria) - Before the start of the gathering of patriots and citizens of BiH organized by veterans' associations and the Union of Veterans' Associations Patriots League, member of the BiH Presidency Željko Komšić addressed journalists.
He said that Dodik yesterday threatened to secede one part of the country, even annex it to Serbia, and next to him sits the president of the neighboring country who does not react to such things, which is already a clear message from both Dodik and Vučić.
"The other thing is whether he will succeed in that. And whether he will succeed depends on us, and not just politically, that we quarrel and argue, but that we channel a kind of pressure primarily towards the institutions of BiH that are tasked with preventing and ultimately stopping such things. In this case, that is only the judiciary," says Komšić.
When asked how he comments on the content of the published audio recording of the conversation between HDZ BiH President Dragan Čović and Hungarian Foreign Minister Péter Szijjártó, where they talk about the Election Law based on "Christian values," Komšić said he is not surprised.
"This has just been published now, it already exists, it has been actively worked on for years. Nothing is new to me here, no surprise. Even if they hadn't published it, I would have known that such talk goes on in those circles. This time it just came to the surface. This is something that constantly happens in BiH, and all the talk about amending the Election Law and all the politics coming from Zagreb and a good part of the western part of the international community, and interestingly in this case also supported by the Russians, only the Russians now have their own business with the aggression on Ukraine, is something we are already living. This has just surfaced now, and everyone is surprised," says Komšić.
Dodik in Donja Gradina denied the genocide in Srebrenica for the umpteenth time, and the BiH Prosecutor's Office, headed by Milanko Kajganić, has not prosecuted a single case of genocide denial.
"I still believe that the judiciary must do what is written in the law. And why it is not working, you must ask those who strongly stood behind Kajganić as a state prosecutor and who actually brought him there," concluded Komšić.
