Komšić: The thesis that Croatia and Serbia have rights in BiH is wrong

SARAJevo, (Patria) - The thesis that Croatia has rights over Bosnia and Herzegovina is being emphasized. Croatia and Serbia only have obligations, not rights, in Bosnia and Herzegovina, stated former member of the Presidency of the Republic of Bosnia and Herzegovina Ivo Komšić for N1 television, emphasizing that the thesis of Croatia's rights over Bosnia and Herzegovina is advocated by media controlled by the Croatian Democratic Union.

 

 

"They only have obligations to respect the sovereignty, territorial integrity, international continuity of Bosnia and Herzegovina, and democratic rights," said Komšić, adding that the leader of HDZ in Zagreb and Prime Minister of Croatia, Andrej Plenković, has not distanced himself from the policies of HDZ of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

A group of intellectuals in Bosnia and Herzegovina prepared a "Memorandum of Understanding with Croatia" as a reaction to the Croatian Parliament's Declaration on the Status of Croats in Bosnia and Herzegovina, which was assessed as interference in the internal affairs of Bosnia and Herzegovina. 

Secretary General of the Congress of Bosniak Intellectuals Council, Emir Zlatar, said in the same show that "manipulations and abuses are at play. There are Greater Serbia and Greater Croatia projects that have not ceased since 1939."
Komšić believes that Milorad Dodik has returned Republika Srpska, an entity in Bosnia and Herzegovina, to the position of, as he said, "Karadžić's criminal creation."

"Karadžić's Republika Srpska was not recognized at Dayton. The world was not crazy to recognize it. A democratic Republika Srpska was created at Dayton. It is a new creation in which democratic rights are guaranteed by Dayton," said Komšić, emphasizing that Dodik found a partner in Čović, who wants to reaffirm Herceg-Bosna."
