Komšić: Kolinda regrets that BiH Election Law was not amended as planned in Zagreb

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - Croatian President Kolinda Grabar Kitarović is rightly expressing regret in Brussels that Bosnia and Herzegovina has not amended its Election Law. Grabar-Kitarović has reason to regret it because, despite Zagreb's appeals (Ljubić and Krišto), despite insidious lobbying for the introduction of unequal vote value in Bosnia and Herzegovina, the BiH Election Law has not been amended as Zagreb envisioned and planned, said the President of the Democratic Front, Željko Komšić.

- We in Bosnia and Herzegovina, on the contrary, express joy. It was not easy to defend ourselves from Zagreb's propaganda, political, and media aggression, but we defended ourselves and showed the European Union who here in Bosnia and Herzegovina, respecting the judgments of the European Court of Human Rights, offers solutions, and who ultimately demands what is unacceptable from the perspective of European and
democratic values - Komšić said.

Since the President of Croatia is calling for a stronger engagement of the European Union in Bosnia and Herzegovina regarding the resolution of amendments to the Election Law, I would like to remind the esteemed President Grabar-Kitarović that the European Union, the USA, and the wider international community are more engaged than ever, Komšić added.

- However, it is clear that this engagement does not suit your protégés in BiH, whom you encourage to undermine the constitutional order of Bosnia and Herzegovina and who are in permanent conflict with both the representatives of the international community in Bosnia and Herzegovina and with those representatives of the international community who wish to contribute to resolving this issue. It is no wonder they are in conflict because what your protégés are asking for is in conflict with all civilizational norms. Soon they will even start openly threatening those whom you are calling for stronger engagement in BiH - Komšić said.

Komšić further stated that Grabar-Kitarović advises her to continue to refer to the distorted content of the BiH Constitutional Court's rulings, as do those in Bosnia and Herzegovina whom she supports.

- You will regret this even more than you regret it now, but your deceptions will not succeed - Komšić concluded.
