Komšić: BiH strives for an EU that recognizes neither Milanović's nor Dodik's concept of constituent peoples

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - After Lukashenko, Zoran Milanović is the only head of state who has met with Dodik in private. That says enough about both of them, said a member of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Željko Komšić, on Wednesday, reacting to Dodik's uncoordinated visit to Zagreb.

He assessed that the concept of constituent peoples has been rejected in the European Union.

"Regarding the respect and disrespect of the infamous concept of constituent peoples, I can say that it is a Soviet concept for resolving the national question, which has been completely rejected in the EU as backward. Therefore, they are fighting for something that has long been overcome. In the EU, all states are civic and do not recognize any concept of constituent peoples. Bosnia and Herzegovina strives for the EU, that is, for the abolition of this concept of constituent peoples, and I support that, despite resistance from Zagreb," Komšić concluded.
