Sports plane crashed near Vinkovci, pilot seriously injured

(Patria) - One person was seriously injured in today's crash of a small sports plane near Vinkovci, but is out of danger, confirmed by the General County Hospital of Vinkovci.

- This is a seriously injured patient who is currently out of danger and, after a short stabilization, at the patient's own request, was transferred to KBC Osijek for further treatment, given that the patient is from Osijek - said the on-call traumatologist at the Vinkovci hospital, Tomislav Kokić.

The County Center 112 Vukovar received a report at 11:49 AM about the crash of a small sports plane, about a kilometer from Sopot airport in Vinkovci.

Emergency medical services and police were dispatched to the scene. There was one person in the plane who was injured and taken care of at the General County Hospital Vinkovci.
