Klas's new brand "Frozen Fruit" in Kaufland Croatia supermarkets

Bosnia and Herzegovina's food industry company Klas d.d. Sarajevo has entered the Kaufland Croatia retail chain with its latest brand „Smrznuto voće“ (Frozen Fruit), reports the Patria news agency.

Thus, raspberries, blackberries, sour cherries, strawberries, wild blackberries, and blueberries in 350-gram packaging are available for sale in all 32 Kaufland stores in Croatia.

- Klas's high-quality frozen fruit found its way to the Kaufland Croatia sales shelf without major difficulties. I would like to note that our raspberries have so far been exported mainly as semi-finished products to highly demanding markets in Japan, France, Germany, and Turkey. Now, this 100% made in B&H brand, originating from BH plantations, industrially processed in Klas's facilities, with packaging from BH suppliers, and our design, has entered one of the largest retail chains in Europe.

The cooperation will not stop here, as Kaufland is interested in expanding exports to other countries where they are present. The new Klas brand of frozen fruit is an example of how the entire food industry can develop, from primary agricultural production, which has material and expert support from large systems like ours, through processing, and then to the placement of strong brands in domestic and foreign markets - stated Muamer Valjevčić, Brand Manager of the Export Department at Klas d.d. Sarajevo.

Last year, Klas had about 800 cooperative berry fruit producers, and this year it is planned to cooperate with 1,500 producers, and to purchase and process about 2,500 tons of raspberries and other berry fruits.
