Presidents Čović and Karamarko discussed the current political situation in Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Republic of Croatia, as well as the future close cooperation that will take place between these two sister parties.
It was emphasized that a joint session of the Presidencies of HDZ BiH and HDZ RH will be held in the near future, which would discuss the continuation of cooperation that these two parties have.
The two presidents assessed that it is realistic for BiH to gain candidate status for EU membership at the beginning of 2017, and that BiH, by submitting the application for EU membership, has opened positive processes for all three peoples living in BiH.
It was emphasized that HDZ Croatia will continue to give full support to the European path of BiH, and to strengthening the position of the Croatian people, as one of the three constituent peoples in BiH, according to the statement of HDZ BiH.
