When Cazin Krajina accepted refugees from Croatia, BiH was not "Big Shit"

The Alliance of Victims of Torture of BiH also reacted to the statements of former Croatian Prime Minister Zoran Milanović and the President of SDP Croatia.

Jutarnji list published a conversation between Milanović and representatives of veterans, when the former Croatian Prime Minister, at one point, touched upon the situation in Bosnia and Herzegovina. Milanović said that Bosnia and Herzegovina is not a state, that there is no order and discipline in it, and that if it were up to him, BiH would be admitted to the EU out of turn.

The Alliance of Victims of Torture in Bosnia and Herzegovina stated that they are concerned about Milanović's statements.

- We cannot remain indifferent to the statement of the former Prime Minister of the Government of the Republic of Croatia, in which he belittles the sovereignty of Bosnia and Herzegovina, as well as all its citizens, especially the victims of the recent war. The "Big shit" situation that Mr. Milanović talks about is precisely the result of the aggressive policy that was pursued in these areas in the early nineties, and for which true patriots and citizens of Bosnia and Herzegovina are least to blame - stated the Alliance of Victims of Torture of BiH.

- Help people to "recover", do not poison them, they did not deserve it - the Alliance further states, and reminds that in 1991 and 1992, when members of the army, as well as citizens of Croatia and Bosnia and Herzegovina helped each other, protected, fed, and led each other to freedom. In memory of these events, on August 28, the international "March of Peace - Day of Patriots" will be held for the ninth time in a row, from Cazin to Slunj, when flowers will be laid at the Memorial to the Martyrs in Cazin and at the memorial to the defenders of the city of Slunj.

- In November 1991, when the JNA tanks entered Slunj and, with the help of local Serbs, occupied the city, the non-Serb population was expelled and began to withdraw towards Bosnia and Herzegovina. The population of Cazin Krajina accepted Croatian refugees, provided them with shelter, and helped them leave for third countries, which are certainly far from the status of "Big shit" - stated the Alliance of Victims of Torture of BiH, reminding that after that, the people of Slunj also helped Bosnia and Herzegovina, reports the Patria news agency.
