Eleven cadets from BiH to attend Military Academy in Serbia

The Ministry of Defence of Bosnia and Herzegovina is sending four girls and seven boys from different parts of Bosnia and Herzegovina to study at the Military Academy of the University of Defence in the Republic of Serbia in Belgrade this summer, the BiH MoD announced, reports Patria agency.

In the presence of their relatives, the cadets signed the Education Agreement at the Military Academy in Belgrade on August 3, 2017, at the premises of the BiH MoD.

They were informed about the rights and obligations that await them during their four-year education. Upon completion of the academy, they will be employed in the Armed Forces of BiH with the initial rank of second lieutenant.

The cadets were received by Duško Radić, advisor in the cabinet of the Deputy Minister of Defence, along with Irena Matošević and Brigadier Siniša Jeftenić, representatives of the Personnel Management Sector, accompanied by their relatives.

Addressing the cadets, Radić urged them to strive and learn in an exemplary manner, as employment in the Armed Forces of BiH awaits them after their education, and that they will have the support of the BiH MoD in all of this.

The cadets were selected based on a Public Competition. Their ranking was based on criteria and results achieved through physical fitness tests, general knowledge, and an interview.

In addition to their existing training program, the Ministry of Defence of Bosnia and Herzegovina is also sending candidates for future officers of the Armed Forces of BiH to military schools in several countries.
