Israel recognizes Kosovo, Serbia to move embassy to Jerusalem

(Patria) - With the mediation of the USA and President Donald Trump, Serbia and Kosovo today signed an agreement on the normalization of economic relations. But that's not all.

Another result of the American negotiations is that Israel will recognize Kosovo as a state and establish diplomatic relations, and Serbia will move its embassy to Jerusalem by summer, said Donald Trump.

The recognition of Kosovo as an independent state by Israel is a gift from the American administration to Kosovo. At the end of 2017, the USA recognized Jerusalem as the capital of Israel and moved its embassy to that city.

Benjamin Netanyahu, the Israeli Prime Minister, announced immediately after the signing of the agreement at the White House that Israel would recognize Kosovo.
