Turnout in Croatia higher than in the first round of presidential elections

CROATIA, (Patria) - The second round of presidential elections is being held in Croatia today, with 3,860,000 voters eligible to vote in Croatia and abroad.

Data from the State Electoral Commission (DIP) shows that by 11:30 a.m., 18.87 percent of voters had turned out at polling stations. For comparison, in the first round by 11:30 a.m., 15.75 percent, or 552,129 voters, had cast their ballots. In the second round of the previous presidential elections in January 2015, 21.92 percent of voters had voted by 11:30 a.m.

Presidential candidates Kolinda Grabar-Kitarović and Zoran Milanović have called on voters to do their duty and go to the polls.

A large number of voters are also expected in Bosnia and Herzegovina, with the highest number in Mostar, where long lines have been forming at polling stations since early morning.
