In Mostar, a meeting was held by BiH Presidency member Bakir Izetbegović and Serbian Prime Minister Aleksandar Vučić, who briefly addressed journalists, writes the BiH news agency Patria.
Vučić said that the good political messages that could be heard in Mostar should lead to greater economic cooperation and better relations between the two countries.
- We will try to lower the tone in all our relations and resolve them peacefully, improve relations, and Serbs and Bosniaks certainly have a common future where they have lived for centuries. Serbs and Bosniaks live together in Serbia and in BiH. It was like that and it will have to be like that in the future. We will preserve peace and the right to a better future in Serbia and Bosnia and Herzegovina - said Vučić.
Izetbegović said that a good, sincere conversation was held.
- We did not shy away from raising important issues for the two countries and nations, the past was as it was and we cannot influence it, but we can influence the future. We need to intensify dialogue, we need to understand each other, respect the truth, the rulings of international courts - said Izetbegović.
When asked about the revision of BiH's lawsuit against Serbia for genocide, for which the deadline expires in February 2017, Izetbegović said that he is not the one initiating or abandoning the lawsuit.
- We do not have any new evidence that would lead in that direction, and if there is, then we will talk about it - said Izetbegović.
