Elections in Serbia on Sunday: 6.5 million voters eligible, Dodik to vote in Banja Luka

(Patria) - Extraordinary parliamentary, provincial, and local elections will be held in Serbia on Sunday in 65 cities and municipalities. 6,500,666 voters will be able to exercise their right to vote in the elections, with more than 1,600,000 in Belgrade. Voting will also take place abroad – in 35 countries. Due to time differences, voting already took place today in the USA, Great Britain, Portugal, and Canada.

In the republican elections, voters will choose between 18 electoral lists that wish to enter Parliament. For the provincial elections, 13 electoral lists have been determined, and for the Belgrade City Assembly, 14.

Polling stations will be open from seven to 20:00, and the elections will be monitored by 5,587 observers.

Surveys indicate that relatively high turnout can be expected.

Citizens of Serbia living abroad will be able to vote in 35 countries, at 81 polling stations.

The Republican Electoral Commission announces the final election results within 96 hours of receiving all summary reports. The Assembly must then be formed within 30 days, followed by a 90-day period for forming a new Government.

Milorad Dodik's office announced that he will also vote in Banja Luka at the General Consulate of Serbia.
