ELECTIONS IN SERBIA: Attackers on observers in Odžaci detained, turnout by 12:00 is 21.33 percent

(Patria) - The President of the Republic Electoral Commission of Serbia, Vladimir Dimitrijević, commented on the press conference of the Crta observation mission and confirmed that an incident occurred in Odžaci, that those responsible have been detained and will be sanctioned in accordance with the competencies of other state authorities.

The head of the Crta observation mission, Raša Nedeljkov, said earlier today that observers of that organization were attacked in Odžaci and that their vehicle was destroyed in the incident.

Dimitrijević also commented on the incident in Blace, stating that the police took to the station a person who allegedly gave money to voters to cast their ballots.

The Director of the Republic Statistical Office of Serbia, Miladin Kovačević, announced at a press conference at 1:00 PM that in the extraordinary elections in Serbia, by 12:00 PM, 21.33 percent of voters had cast their ballots.

He reminded that in last year's elections, the turnout by 12:00 PM was 20.52 percent.
