(Patria) - Two groups of Croatian citizens evacuated from Gaza arrived in Croatia today. The first group arrived on Saturday.
"We are very tired. It has been very bad for the last month, but now we are safe," said one of the evacuees, as reported by HRT.
Around 9:30 a.m., the second group of Croatian citizens arrived at Zagreb Airport.
"Thank God we made it. We went through hell. The situation is bad, there is nothing - no fuel, no food. This is not a war, it's a massacre against children and civilians," said one evacuee.
When asked who they left behind, he said: nearly 30 dead.
There are still 24 Croatian citizens in the Gaza Strip, but although heavy fighting is ongoing there - they have not requested evacuation so far.
