Investigation into January 9th: Secret report on BiH Armed Forces delivered to Serbian Military Intelligence Agency first!?

The Inspector General of the BiH Ministry of Defence, General Enes Husejnović, did not launch an investigation into the involvement of members of the Armed Forces of BiH in the marking of the unconstitutional holiday of the RS Day on January 9th, nor now that the report compiled by the MoD commission marked as „confidential“ has appeared in the Serbian media.

Members of the Serbian Military Intelligence Agency had the report on January 9th and the deployment of members of the Armed Forces of BiH in Banja Luka before it reached the members of the Presidency of BiH, writes Patria.

Yesterday, the first article about the report was published by Euroblic, and today other Belgrade media outlets did the same.

The first to reveal the secret content of the report to the public was the Deputy Minister of Defence Boris Jerinić, who said:

-The Constitution, any law, any regulation has not been violated, and there are no responsible persons in the report itself, nor those who will be punished.

Thus, he was the first high-ranking state official (legally responsible for protecting classified information) to violate the provisions of the Law on Protection of Classified Information.

Who all had or could have had possession of the report marked „confidential“ that appeared in Serbia before it even reached the members of the Presidency of BiH?

The six-member commission, headed by Brigadier Velibor Purković, was appointed by the Chief of the Joint Staff of the BiH Armed Forces, General Ante Jelić, and its task was to investigate all events and activities related to January 9th.

Also on the commission were Jelić's deputy, General Mirko Tepšić, and his trusted man, Brigadier Branislav Mitraković, from the military intelligence service of the Armed Forces. All three, as lieutenant colonels or majors, were active members of the 30th Personnel Center of the Yugoslav Army and were on the payroll of the armed forces of neighboring Serbia until the end of 2001.

Also among those who could have delivered the report to the neighboring country is Marinko Šiljegović, a retired general of the Army of Republika Srpska. In the BiH Ministry of Defence, he holds the position of Assistant Minister for Intelligence and Security Affairs.

According to unofficial information from military circles, Šiljegović, as an experienced soldier who was also on the payroll of the 30th Personnel Center of the Yugoslav Army, is considered the main operative whose primary task is to dismantle the intelligence structure of the BiH Ministry of Defence and the BiH Armed Forces.
